Born into generational poverty, Darryl Hunter is a tireless law enforcer, Adjunct Community College Instructor, national trainer, high school varsity coach, and honorably discharged military professional. He seeks to empower, motivate, and educate under-resourced communities, families, and children across the country to help them identify and fulfill their potential as lifelong influential teachers, learners, mentors, and producers in their communities. Darryl reaches people where they are, motivates them, and propels them toward a call to action.

He is a meticulous, task-driven, highly decorated officer with 35 years of service with the Baltimore County Police Department. As the Specialized Training Coordinator for the department, he oversees a yearly training catalog of over 30 specialized schools and training for a department of over 1900 sworn members and 300 civilians. Darryl is experienced in helping to make sure schools and communities in Baltimore County, Maryland, are the safest places to live and attend school. He is recognized for his ability to analyze the training needs of service providers carefully and is highly skilled in creating and implementing training curricula and professional development programs. Darryl is also a well-established, seasoned classroom manager with extensive knowledge, skills, and abilities to teach and motivate children and adults in a variety of learning styles. Key elements of his training style are collaborative learning, relationship building, and metaphoric storytelling.
