Meet Craig Willett

Born and raised in Baltimore City, Craig Willett is a Graduate of Dunbar High School where he was a four year, three sport career Varsity Letter Athlete of football, wrestling, and baseball. Upon graduation, he transitioned into adult life by enlisting into the United States Army and was deployed in leadership positions to Saudi Arabia (Operation Desert Storm), Bosnia (SFOR 10), Iraq (OIF), and Afghanistan (OEF). Craig found his purpose in life during these deployments as a motivational speaker, dynamic trainer, detailed instructor and a superior facilitator. He has used these attributes to achieve his master’s degree in human resources. Studying the outcomes of having human capital has aided Craig in his career of Law Enforcement, National Trainer, Adjunct Instructor at the Community College of Baltimore County and High School Varsity Head Coach.

Craig is well known for using a multitude of teaching and learning strategies for both adults and youths. One strategy is “Crawl, Walk, Run” phases while using Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic (VAK) approaches through description, demonstration and scenarios to reinforce learning.  As a School Resource Officer (SRO) and Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Instructor, Craig successfully cultivated, mentored and promoted health and wellness in students from PreK-12 earning him “SRO of the Year” for the Baltimore County Police Department and the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO). Craig was also honored as the Maryland DARE Officer of the Year. Some of the topics Craig enjoy teaching are Leadership and Management, Verbal De-escalation, Fair and Impartial Policing (FIP), Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement (ABLE), Juvenile Law and Constitutional Law.

A most memorable achievement came from a deployment to Afghanistan in 2012. As a highly decorated and proven leader, Craig held the rank of Battalion Command Sergeant Major in the 1297th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion. With oversight of over 1,500 soldiers, several gun truck convoys were managed weekly. Due to his attention to detail, operational training, implementation and execution, the mission was flawless. The result, zero fatalities.

Imagine having a subject matter expert with superb leadership skills, command presence and the ability to adapt to any audience or situation in your next training session. Imagine learning, laughing and leveling up. Now, imagine Craig taking you and your organization on a journey from where you are to where you need to be. It won’t be free, (smile), but the return on your investment will be invaluable.
